> Can you describe, if it is not secret, how did you implement singular >extensions in Aristarch? That's a very good question. I did not find much about how to implement singular extensions, so I tried different ideas and now I use one that has the advantage that no additional calculation time is needed, but only a part of the singular extension positions is detected (without any wrongly detected ones). As I don't read the ICCA journal, I don't know if my idea is commonly known, or if it is something exceptionally good, so please understand that I would like to keep it secret until I read somewhere that it is commonly known. It may very well be that switching singular extensions on in Aristarch, maybe reducing some of the other extensions, does improve the playing strength of Aristarch. Unfortunately I see no way to find out of it's good or not, because the advantage is probably not very big. So it's currently switched off. Regards, Stefan
