No hiding ! comps should always specify which software they are using in finger notes. Specifying the engine in the handle only works if you only allow one account per engine, and never allow operators to switch engines. I don't think that this is plausable. >- Only computers operated by the author or someone explicitely approved by the >author (mention in the finger notes) should be allowed to have an account. Interesting idea, and not just for comps. It could be interesting to see how a human's score vs comps compared to their score vs humans. >- Administrators should be sufficiently experienced to detect cheaters and react >quickly. This must be an ICC thing? on FICS you can't change your handle, and accounts are limited to one per email address. They really want to limit it to one account per person, but the long-range DNA scanner isn't working yet ;) >Please feel free to add suggestions and remarks. >As for the name, what about FCICS (Friendly Computers Internet Chess Server !)
