It's my impression that it evaluates certain positional features in an exaggerated manner. Tactical and short term features especially. Thats what I call speculative eval. Gambit Tiger ir another example of this behaviour. If a program is weak at fast time controls it usually means that it thas considerable overhead somewhere. And I do these short time control matches to get away from the short term fluctuations that are bound to occur in some short matches. That in essence means that I can say that it is far from the top at fast time controls and noone can say anything much about its long time control behaviour. Having severe trouble agains TCB does not bode well. Even if TCB is one of the great old ones of winboard fame. MvH
