Dear Amir:
Media? The least thing in there world Ivan wanted was media exposure. Reasons?
They has been given here by all people that say that Gm does not like to risk
his reputation against a computer.
Chilean chess federation? Amir, the day you come to my country you will laugh at
your own advice. They scarcely have funds to pay the rent of the place where
they meet. Chess interest in my country is tiny and by the same reason Ivan is
not a local star, just a guy known by the microscoipic chess community.

CCR paying something? Amir, CCR does not pay nothing, all people that writes or
wrote there did it by love, not for money. CCR is not intended as a commercial
publication, even if it charges a fee to be there. People that writes there does
not get other benefit that not to pay the 25 bucks of the fee to receive a
password. Even more, is not very clear which will be the future of CCR, if it
has a future.
But even more: Ivan did not refuse to play now because of lack of money,
rtemember some people begun to offer more so at the monmen t of his refulsa hw
would get more than 100 buck by each point won.

There is no local reprtesentative of Alfa here and again, money was not
involved.

I did.
Again, nothing of that was useeful.
OF COURSE if a match will be played after all, I will many of the things that
are possible to do, including some of your proposals. You can bet I will spread
the gospel everywhere. But, as you knowe, the esential point before anything is
to get the master facing the computer. There lyes the problem.
