I was asked several times in the past if Chess Wizard would ever play on the ICS
Chess servers, so for those who are interested, I have a new version which is
now playing from time to time on ICC. It has played 55 games until now against
various programs with the score of +30 =19 -6, and has a blitz rating of 3055.
It has a good score against 4-CPU Crafty (something like +8 =3 -1).
It plays any human or computer above 1800 (except abusers), but at fast time
controls only (I prefer to have a lot of games, so 10 mn + 5 s max).
Strangely, it has never played a strong (IM / GM) human being...
By the way, it plays also regularly on the french Europe-Echecs server
(jeu.echecs.com).
Chess Wizard is running on an Athlon XP1800+ (or XP2100+ sometimes) under the
handle "ChessWizardX".
Here are its last two games against buffy-robot (apparently Fritz 7 on a P4 2.5
Ghz, but I am not so sure :)).
