Hi Will,

yes for sure the amateurs have also secrets but the amateurs are speaking and
other persons can learning and can try the own ideas if problems are solved.

Look, today we have 160 or more WB compatible engines (I know over 200 WB
engines). The group of professionals are for years much bigger. Maybe in 3 years
we have only 3 commercial chess engines where users have a bigger interest to
buy it.

On the other hand, I think it`s a selection which is not bad for the situation.
Strong commercial programs are good for hold the Equilibrium. Commercial firms
are also very important for the future of computer chess. Today we must more do
for commercial chess not for amateur chess :-)

But a little more action from commercial programmers are good for the fans /
users and persons which have little questions about chess programming.

So I think the comments from Robert are very good (in my opinion) !!
