I have recently come across http://www.drpribut.com/sports/standard.txt where a 1994 definition of the pgn standard, together with an implementation guide is to be found. This is by Steven J Edwards who is not contactable at the advertised email address. Forgive my ignorance, but is the pgn standard 'owned' by any official body, or actively maintained in a consultative process? It would seem logical to contact SJE on this - so if anyone can put me in touch, many thanks. I was previously unaware of the full definition of EPD. Has anything beyond the core 4 fields (identical to FEN) been widely adopted - and if so, how is it used? Thanks for help in advance, Guy Haworth
