Hello Sally,

maybe you should try the Wb2Uci adapter of Odd Gunnar Malin ?
http://home.online.no/~malin/sjakk/download/Wb2Uci.zip

Unzip Wb2Uci.zip to your folder of Gandalf 5.
Then open the file "Wb2Uci.eng" with a text editor and correct like this:

[ENGINE]
Name=Gandalf 5
Author=Steen Suurballe
Filename=Wb2Uci.exe

[OPTIONS]
Program=gandalf5.exe
InitString=resign 7 999
HashCommand=hashmem %i
Edit=edit
;ShowThinkingMove=true
;Logfile=true
Visible=Ponder,Hash,ShowThinkingMove,Logfile,OwnBook,Extras

[EXTRAS]
Contempt=contempt|spin|0|-100|100
NalimovPath=tbdir|string|c:\nalimov
NalimovCache=tbcache %i|spin|8|1|32
Learning=learning|check|false|0|1
Bookpath=bookpath|string|c:\gandalf

Please have in mind to correct the paths to "Program=..." and to
"NalimovPath=..." EGDB and "Bookpath=..." to yours.

Then install Gandalf 5 as an adapted "UCI" engine in Fritz 7 like Kurt Utzinger
wrote here some days ago:
- choose under the menu 'Engine' the sub-menu 'Create UCi engine'
- browse to your Gandalf folder
- click to Wb2Uci.exe (not Gandalf.exe) and wait until Fritz has installed new
engine.

Regards,
Manfred
