Save your money.

Poor chess program with very limited options. It has 8 levels 1-8. IF you
underpromote your pawn , you must go into positions setup to change your pawn
froma queen. Direct quote from the manual:

"The computer would(sic) always promote its pawn to a Queen. If you wish to
your pawn then you must advance it to the 8th rank when (sic) the computer will
automatically promote yopur pawn to Queen and begin to compute its own
counter-move.

If you wish to promote your pawn to a knight, bishoop or rook or underpromote
(sic) - as the rules of chess allow, you must wait until the computer completes
its counter-move. TAKE BACK the computer move (see section 8a) and use POSITION
SET-UP (see section 9d) and replace the Queen with the piece of your choice."

The only redeeming feature is that it is so weak, it may be suitable/enjoyable
for very weak/beginner players.

Crafty 17.16 SE with "novice" setting is designed to play weak. That is why you
see the move 7. ...e6?. At this point, I fully expected Novag Solo to win this
game. It is amazing that it does not and it a true indication of how weak Novag
Solo is.

Just for the record "normal" Crafty sees a "mate in 11" here instantly and it
later drops to a "mate in 8".
