Both answers only apply when using bad 32 bit generators. This is a bit of a silly assumption to start on, since using those sources is bound not to generate the best possible random numbers no matter what you do with them. I use a good 32 bit random number generator. I infer from the replies that OR ing is fine in that case. -- GCP
