No idea...  vectorization and chess don't particularly fit together very
well, until the chess programmer immerses himself in vector processing,
gets used to the hardware vector facilities the machine offers (all vector
machines are *not* the same) and then gives a lot of thought to how some
chess-specific things might be redesigned to use this hardware.  For Cray
Blitz, this was a 10 year off-and-on project...
