I think that they simply don't want to risk it losing to newer chess engines or top GM's. If the purpose was to experiment with parallel processing, why did they play a second match but not a third? IBM wants you to believe that they're doing something good for all of us, but I think it's more about "Hey look at us!!!" than it is about doing good. Russell
