IBM won by cheating, took the >money, and ran away: "That's it folks, I've won. Have a nice evening!". what do you mean with cheating? kasparov just lost it after losing the match and started accusing them of cheating. he made ridiculous claims like that they were keeping log files secret when they were posted on the internet. for IBM, the deep blue match was about publicity. they got lots of it, (worth billions of $$$ according to the manager responsible for the deep blue project) and another match may have been of big interest to this community, but not to the public at large. besides, with kasparov running around accusing them of cheating, you can hardly expect them to play another match with him. and playing somebody else than the undisputed champion is not an option when it's the publicity you want. aloha martin
