Deep Blue is no longer a champ. It was and then they dissassembled the machine. It does not exist anymore, cannot accept any more challanges or will not as the case may be. It is now somewhat believed that the newer PC's running the newest software may be stronger than Deep Blue was, but we will never know as IBM does not want to take a chance of being beaten. By winning only 2 out of 3 games, they declared themselves world champion. I would be willing to bet that if they had played a series of 10 or more games, they might not have won at all. Just as todays programs learn from playing others, Gary Kasparov learns from playing machines. It would be nice to see DB once again but I don't think it will ever happen. Bill
