after about a month of trying and with the invaluable help and suggestions of all the forum members in particular chris taylor, sarah bird, kurt utzinger, and many others i finally got 2 computers to autoplay each other using the chesstiger-chessbase interface-actually managed to play it for 36 hrs at a stretch. i still have afew questions to ask. 1)i keep hearing people talk about master and slave-i canot find any mention of this on the chess tiger interface- 2) on the "TOOLS->CONNECT HARDWARE" window there is an option called "PIPE SERVER" what is the significance of checking or unchecking this box 3) on the "FILE->NEW->2 COMPUTER MATCH-> window there is an option called "OPPONENT SAVE" what is the significance of this box 4) how does one specify the number of games to be played between the 2 computers-there does not seem to be any option as here is for eng vs eng matches on 1 computer 5) the computer on which i click "OK" first seems to be the one that starts as white. is this the recommended way to do it 6) are there any other hidden options that i have missed thanks for any help rajen
