But could you please describe what is shown in the Extra Book Pane window when you check the "Statistics" box? Does it show the number of games won by white, the number won by black, and the number of draws for each opening move? That's what I want. Does the database need to be in the same folder as the opening book? Or does something special need to be done to the book for "Statistics" to work, such as adding a special file? I'm making all my own books which I imported from databases of games, and don't have any prepared books from other sources. Or does Chessbase 8.0 need to be installed at the same time (which I don't have yet)? Or does it need a special version of ActiveX or Windows? I'm running ActiveX 7.0 which I got from the Chessmaster 8000 CD, and HP OEM W98se. I know that ActiveX 7.0 (at least) is required, because Fritz7 wouldn't work correctly without it. But maybe a later version still is required(?). Does anybody know? "Statistics" is important to me, and I'm disappointed that I can't access it!? Thanx, WP
