I don't think, that Yace will be slower on the CB interface. However, current CB
interfaces (that support UCI engines) have one disadvantage for the sort of
backwards analysis you do. They do not support the UCI "info string", and don't
show to the user, what the engine wants to show the user. Under Shredder 5 (and
probably classic Shredder CB) Yace would tell you, with which depth the position
was learned already, and you would be able to conviniently see, to what depth
you need let Yace calculate, so that the learning can be overwritten (if
needed).
