how many chess positions are their ??? ok take that number and take away position that can not safely be reached vs a strong player GM .If a person really narrowed it down from the start position then i think the game of chess could be solved down to fit on a 60 gig hd .maybe not all the way down to the egtb but to a high enough plus score .plus how many positions are of a simple enough nature that battle chess on a 386 could see it in 3 sec.eliminate positions that are simple and now you have a manageble number ???? why search throgh garbage can after garbage can ????????????????
