Let's see. What if there are an average of 4 decent moves in a given position? That's 2^2. Each player plays a move in sequence, so on a turn there;s 2^4 options. A good game might last 80 moves, so there's 2^(4*80) or 2^320 reasonable games. I guess you have a big hard drive!! dave
