Excalibur has just recently released a unique new product. It's a chess handheld that plugs into a chess board. The product, called Chess Station is essentially two products in one. (A tabletop and handheld chess computer!) I've had Chess Station for several weeks now. (A prototype and one of the very first production units.) Tonight I've completed (an initial version) of my review of Chess Station. You can go directly to the review by clicking on this link: http://home.earthlink.net/~kantack/lcdchess/chessstation.htm Or you can go to my home page: http://home.earthlink.net/~kantack/lcdchess/home.htm and click on the Chess Station link or one of several other reviews. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Perhaps of more interest two members of CCC will be my review of Talking LCD Chess which I plan to complete (and post) sometime in October. Talking LCD Chess uses a considerably improved engine and is significantly stronger than the current handheld offerings from Excalibur. (Talking LCD Chess should be widely available in stores by mid September.) Enjoy the reviews. Feel free to send me a note on any questions or comments. Thanks, Chris Kantack http://home.earthlink.net/~kantack/lcdchess/home.htm
