After having read these comments and having a closer look on the xboard/winboard
protocol (hey, I even implemented a few commands :) I came to the conclusion
that I don't like any of these.

xboard/winboard-protocol is too 'messy' for my taste (the ping-command (or the
need for it) is just horrible in my POV) and UCI has too much control over the
engine for my taste. That and no-one wrote an UCI-interface for X11, AFAIK. :)

So.. anyone wants to write a 3rd protocol? :)
