It is understandably human nature that if you have been doing something a certain way for years and you have mastered that way and feel very comfortable with it, you will resist changing to a very different way even if that new way is arguably better. (As I get older, I am increasingly guilty of this in various areas of life, such as whether or not to switch software tools to something completely different for a given set of tasks.)
