I've seen this repeated but does the protocol say anything about this? I know at least Fritz could send something like this: position ..... go .... position .... go .... Without sending a stop ore wait for a move first. See the log-file I sent you in May. This could happend 3-4 times in a 40 games match (nunn-match). I have not examined this carefully so it could be a bug connected with a mating move. This behavior did at least for me lead to implementing the command interpreting just like in wb. Eg. expect all thing when searching. I will send '?\nforce\nnew' to the wb engine when I detect a new game if the engine are thinking. For your complain about the result tag I must agree, normaly you would expect a 'new' after result but what if you get a 'setboard', start a search or wait for a go. Odd Gunnar
