My understanding is that "general.ctg" has been randomly created with GM games,
not specifically tweaked.
Also IMO it takes more than just a good opening book to play at the level List
is playing even in this few numbers of games.

Is there any indication that List won most of it's games because of superior
position right after the opening book?
