Subject: Popularity of Threads Increased by Fireworks???

Author: Robert Henry Durrett

Since coming back after being away awhile, I have been trying to get caught up
on reading the threads. Wow! What a surprise!!!!

The "What is the probability that Fritz 5 will play a drawn game as White?"
thread, including the sub-threads spawned from that thread, is a huge thread!

I suspect that this proves two things: First, threads which contain "fireworks"
are more popular and everyone wants to get in on the "action." Maybe the CCC
membership is human after all! [Not just computers.]{A joke.}

The second [tentative] conclusion is my suspicion that the "combatants" may have
agreed in advance to put on a show in order to make their thread more
interesting.

Would someone please provide a summary of the significant technical findings and
results of that thread [plus it's spawned sub-threads]? What of importance has
been learned there?

Please?

Thanks in advance.

Bob D.
