After reading you various posts, I have the following suggestion, each new ply searched usually adds about 50 to 150 points to a programs strength so how much does each element in your eval add to your programs over all stength. I suggest that you start cutting extra evals and matching the program against itself to see just how much it improves or how much faster it plays. Some where in between you will find an optimum level. It may also be that some of your evals may not be needed until the end game and could be skipped in the mean time. Bill
