I thought your question was a joke, because everyone who is familiar with freeware programs knows (for a fact), that YACE is the strongest out there, and that too for a LONG time now... I too don't understand why YACE is not being tested while Gromit is being tested, note that I don't have anything against Gromit. If the reason is that the author of the program didn't ask you to test it, than it is not a good reason, because I don't believe that every program in the SSDF list was tested because the programmer asked for it. It was most probably done on "popularity" basis, if that is the case than YACE is not less popular than most of the programs in SSDF list. I have asked many many times in this forum why YACE is not being tested considering the fact that Crafty is, every single time it was unanswered by anyone from SSDF. I once asked Dieter why doesn't he ask SSDF to test YACE, he said something like, "SSDF being a private testing group, and it is their choice what to test and what not to test". cheers, pavs
