Most world-class checkers >programs cost $100.00 to $150.00 and Cake Las Vegas Six Man TB Checkers is a >steal in comparison. hi tim, thanks for the kind words :-) i have my reasons for not doing as you suggested: making free software available over the internet is easy. and i don't have to support it. burning CDs / DVDs, dealing with customers who have problems with your software, either because they are computer-illiterate, or because their system is really incompatible, or because of a bug in my program, now that sounds like a real hassle! all of this just to make a few hundred bucks (there are very few people who actually buy checkers programs...)? when i could go surfing instead? no way! :-) aloha martin
