My opinion is that an optimal line should be continued clear to the checkmate,
1000 full moves if necessary.

If you want to avoid it in the future, just play my optimal line against me to
see how I react to it!

The purpose of the book is to improve the quality of the chess.  The book
(therefore) should be improved until the engines play perfect chess.

IMO-YMMV.
