Crafty (my version) plays handicapped under the Fritz GUI. So I use Arena.
Fritz doesn't play under Arena. I do not have Gandalf and at this point in
time, I have no desire to spend money on Gandalf and I would not ask for nor
would I accept an illegal copy. Although I have heard it's a very good engine.
If it comes down in price - under $30, I would buy it perhaps.

It would be nice to do if I have the time.

Two minute chess is only good for assessing 2 minute chess games - if that's
your point, I agree. Although there is a belief that it may correlate somewhat
to longer time controls. My own, unrpoven belief is that if a program does not
play well at long time controls, it will usually not be a top tier program at
blitz. On the other hand, a top tier program at blitz, may or may not be a top
tier program at longer time controls. A less than top tier program at blitz,
may be a top tier program at longer time controls. That's from watching
programs play programs and humans for over the last 20 years.

9 years I had a computer account "Fitter" using the Mephisto Genius 68030
dedicated unit and was playing blitz over the internet on ICC. ( Yes , I had
very fast hands back then). ;>)

Fitter becme the top rated active player (computer and human) for a short time
until the P90's came out. It was doing very well against on GM's at blitz time
controls. (Those were the days that titled players were very willing to play
good computers over the internet - now it's almost impossible - since they all
can play them at home at their leisure.). Mephisto 68030 would get eaten alive
by all professional and most amatuer programs on today's strong hardware at long
time controls. But it would do a little better (relative to the long time
controls) at blitz.

I agree you are very pretty ....obstinate ;>)
