Dan Spraklen wrote the programme, and it was based on >the Excellence:)) this is no guaranty that it plays better with the pawns. often programs make step backwards. i don't see any contradiction in that. i stay to my thesis that excellence had a better pawn play/handling than par ex. and that 2 versions of par ex exist, one with a tactical strenght playing ugly double/trippe pawns, no idea about passed pawns/pawn pushing and minority attack with pawns, and another one that plays like the excellence. that means: good pawn handling. maybe i still have the games that support my sayings. i can research for the games / positions, if you want.
