Could it be possible to include a human correspondance player in next years KKup3? It would be an experiment as to how a seasoned human correspondance player would do against the computers. Someone like your fellow countryman J. Berry for example. You may need some sponsorship for this but since KKup has run successfully for two years you could point this out to a pending sponsor. ie: how often the site is visited may be enough for someone like AMD for example to sponsor it in exchange for having their logo up on the KKup page. The human postal entrant could receive a flat rate plus $ for each point or each win. Perhaps they would provide a prize fund for the computer champ as well. The computer champ would remain the machine that did best against the machines only, as the human results could just remain a seperate statistic. One other thought I read by someone else sounds good. That is to have backup operators in order to ease the burden for all the operators. They could arrange with each other when to tade off. It is quite a sacrifice for these operators to make in giving so generously of their time. Perhaps they would like to be able to email a partner to play the next 5-10 moves of the game on occasion.
