Subject: Testing with List. What's wrong?

I have downloaded List 4.61 and have played a few games against Chessmaster 9000
with it. The time control was G/10 with pondering off, on a PIII-600.

I think there must be something wrong, because CM9000 checkmated List in the
first game in 19 moves:

In the second game, List gave up its queen early and was mated in 27 moves:

In general, List only seems to be thinking for a split second on its moves, only
up to depth 3 at most.

Is there some special INI setting I don't know about?
