hello, apparently a new engine, Interchess, has achieved the highest ratings on Fics (blitz, lightning and standard, for the latter still needs some games) And.. they say this is done with twice as slow hardware (750Mhz) as the nr 2 competitors, Fritz7 or Tiger on AMD1800 machines.. here's the site: http://www.interchess.hpg.ig.com.br/index.htm but they play with a newer version Fics than the beta which you can download; anyone knows more about this ? (personally i dont trust their rating figures; either they use a Quad 750 (4 cpu's instead of 1) or an engine as Junior or Shredder.. Unless its indeed a revolutionary new program.. regards, jefk
