Faile is BSD, I believe. Sjeng-Free (based on Faile) is GPL. The current Sjeng versions (12.x, Deep Sjeng) no longer contain Faile code. It would not matter anyway - I obtained permission from Adrien to use the code as I saw fit. -- GCP
