It's probably a bit naive to think that the commercial book authors aren't aware of these kind of tricks. The average commercial book seems prepared for quite a few odd variations. Whether they contain killer moves or are close to ensuring a winning position out of book is hard to tell from a superficial examination. Probably not, but enough for an advantage IMO. And I suspect that a championship book is even better. Regards, Mogens
