I am not saying that I concentrate only on the result.  You can look at the
games and identify situations that develop for one reason or another, and you
can identify strong or weak moves and make improvements based upon this.
Looking at games is very useful, but it is time intensive.

You can generate a huge quantity of results while you are asleep.  You get a
datum from the game without having to do anything to get it other than set a
computer to work to generate it.

And a series of enough of these data points might tell you something with more
accuracy than a more labor intensive study of individual games can.
