I think this is the problem that people have with these kind of "GUI's". They aren't really GUI's. A GUI should just allow the user to send those same supported commands that your engine supports in console mode via a graphical interface. The interface shouldn't act as "tournament director" IMO, it should just send commands to the engine, and report back to the user via a move or error messages or whatever. >I'm not saying it is a bad thing, on the contrary it is a very flexible >arrangement, but the book and engine are two different things in this case.
