I've just bought Hiarcs 8, which people have said has the same interface as Fritz 7. I'm still getting used to all the features, but as yet I haven't worked out how to get the Hiarcs engine to play itself. I tried a couple of Hiarcs v Comet games and that worked ok. Some other points, The fixed time control seems to be an average time unlike the fixed time in crafty. sing the solve for mate feature, the analysis doesn't give the full line!(but I do like the help and self mate solvers!) It would also be good to have an index of the shuffle chess numbers and what position they correspond to. Andrew
