What do we have:

Match 1
Winner Braingame match - Winner CC qualify-match

Match 2
Loser Braingame match - Loser CC qualify-match

Match 2 runs before match 1 as normal when competing for 3-4 places


If match 2 attract more attention there is only one factor: Kasparov
All other things are too techncal.
