However, I use mobility for the bishop, which usually makes it more valuable than a knight. But I want to be sure that when my opponent sticks a knight at e6 or whatever, that the bishop isn't so valuable that I leave the knight there, or if I have a bishop with very little mobility due to pawns, I'll trade it for a knight which has more... In an ending, the bishop is significantly more valuable if there are pawns on both sides of the board, but my mobility makes this happen there as well when there aren't so many pawns to block things up... in other words, bishop vs knight depends on the board position, not on the shape of a piece of wood...
