I think the proper reaction is "no reaction".  He's done it a long time.
I know.  It isn't easy to "keep the drive alive" forever, and a break is
needed from time to time...

Lots of "greats" have come and gone and will be remembered fondly, starting
with Slate, to Thompson, and into the micro world with folks like Ed.  But
CC will continue whether any of us survive or not...  :)
