Your memory is simply >very bad on numbers. I do no longer believe any number you quote if it >can be used in your advantage. Suit yourself. how many times did we talk about this stuff? Ten times on ICC? How many emails? Perhaps, for all I know, I "thought" "max overhead" and wrote "overhead". I would think that since you continually tell me what is wrong with my design (copying too much, smp_lock is killing me on > 2 processors, and all that sort of incorrect nonsense) that you would know that the complete TREE structure is not copied. I knew it. I know it so well I don't think about it. That is where there _is_ a CopyTo/FromSMP() set of functions, so that only the critical stuff is copied. > >Last month 9 out of 10 numbers you mention are not true. What should I say about your numbers?::: "bob, your speedup on a dual on the CB positions is only 1.01". -wrong "bob, your SMP version is _way_ slower than your non-SMP version." -wrong "Bob you can't possibly get more than 1.4 speedup on a dual. I compiled it on my machine and proofed it." -wrong "GCP, you must reduce the amount of stuff you copy to be efficient like Crafty." -wrong "Bob, you are copying so much, that is obviously why your parallel speedup is barely over 1.0 on a dual." -wrong How long do I continue such nonsensical quotes? All came directly from you, you know. All are wrong. Shall I go on?
