Hi Scott, Usually I use full ply check and 3/4 ply 2-reply extensions, but this one is easily solvable by just using check and 1-reply, both full ply. I forgot to switch off a capture extension I was experimenting with, so that blew up the search a 'bit' here ... without it I get 21 secs. I expect you could get a faster time with Crafty or your own program, because they're probably more optimized than mine! Curious if you can beat George's time ... :) >>00:45 BM20 15 Nb8 Kxb8 Bc5 a6 Bd4 a7 g4 fxg4 f3 g5 f2 g6 f1=Q g7 Bxa7+ Kxa7 Qa1+ >>Kb8 Qxg7 Ka7 Qa1+ Kb8 Qb1 Ka7 Qb6+ Kb8 Qxc6 Ka7 Qa4+ Kb8 Qxd7 Ka7 Qd4+ Kb8 Ke7 >>Kxc7 Qd6+ Kc8 Qd8# >> Paul
