If you read carefully. We went to both events. 1996 saw me working on performance, and again in 1997 as I was working on an alpha port right after the 1996 event since DEC had already agreed to give us a machine for the next tournament. > >How can a program that is completely different from crafty >and running at a different architecture need time from you >instead of SYSTEM time? There was no "system time" involved. Again, why not try reading things first and _then_ responding? I ran the tests in 1993 and early 1994. I have said this many times. Beyond that point, no cray access was needed, all the data was finished. The time after that was spent on writing the actual paper, which is pretty long, then fiddling with lots of changes as suggested by the referees, and going thru _several_ referee cycles. > >You tested different versions for the article and had to modify >cray blitz each time or something? What work did cray blitz need? None. All testing was completed by june 1994. The paper production too the next 2.5 years... no more testing was needed, possible, or done. I _know_ I have written this multiple times here in CCC already. And you accuse _me_ of "having a horrible memory"? At least I have _some_ memory... I am sure you can find the 1993-1994 date several times here if you look hard enough.
