Thanks, your input has helped me add a crucial variation to my analysis:
1.Bg7! Bxg7 2.Nxg7 Kxg7
[2...Reb8 3.Nh5 Qxb2+ 4.Kd2 Re8
(4...Nxh5 5.gxh5 +-)
5.Nxf6+ exf6 6.Qh6 Re7 7.Rb1 Qa3 8.Nd5 +-]
3.Nd5 Qb5 4.Qh6+ Kf7 5.g5
[5.Nxf6 c3 6.bxc3 exf6
(6...Kxf6 7.Rd5 +-)
{6...Rh8 7.Nxh7 Rab8 8.Qf4+ Kg7 9.e5! +-)
7.Qxh7+ Kf8 8.e5 Qxe5 9.Qxd7 Re7 10.Qxd6 Qxd6 11.Rxd6 Kg7 is slower]
5...Rab8
[5...Nh5 6.Qxh7+ Ng7 7.Rh4 +-]
[5...c3 6.bxc3 e6
(6...Nh5 7.Qxh7+ Ng7 8.Rh4 +-)
7.Nc7 Qc5 8.gxf6 Kxf6 9.Qf4+ Kg7 10.Rxh7+ Kxh7 11.Qf7+ Kh6 12.Rh1+ Qh5
(12...Kg5 13.f4+ Kg4 14.Qxg6+ leading to mate)
13.Rxh5+ gxh5 14.Nxa8 +-]
6.gxf6 Qxb2+ 7.Kd2 Bf5
[7...Ba4 8.Qxh7+ Ke6 9.f7 +-]
8.exf5 Qd4+ 9.Ke2 exf6+ 10.Ne3 +-
I think this is a good puzzle. So far, only Hiarcs sees the first move, but it
doesn't realize that White is winning.
So this is the challenge: does any program see the first move and give White a
strongly positive score (say, +1.5 or better)?
