Unpack the archive into some directory (unzip & tar commands.  If you need help
with that, do "man tar" or "man unzip").  then "cd" to that directory.  Then try
"make solaris".  When it's done, you'll see a nice executable in the directory.

Also, to tweak things, look in "Makefile".  There's lots of switches you can try
for SMP and so forth.
