Originally first install, firewall, anti-virus, no programs.
2nd try closed firewall and anti-virus.

Actually I think the card is probably 8mb, I have an old one here I'll find that
and post exactly what it is. I took the one from this machine and replaced it
with the 7000 a while back for video out. And the card that was in this PC is
identical to the other PC.

Actually it does a pretty good job of the start up screen. Since on both I'll
simply use 2D flat I hardly as long as it will run.

Actually that's how I tried it the first time.
Didn't need direct x 8.1, wasn't interested in playing online and already have
Adobe. I did accept the desktop shortcuts though.

Actually not sure what's happening as I tried installing another program and un
installing it and install shield worked fine as did un install shield.

Agh I was gonna ask if it was USD. I got it at EB Newmarket, Ontario.
