It's a pain in the ass, plain and simple. I was sent a free copy of CM8000 because I played some games to help them recalibrate their ratings -- the damn thing didn't even work because my CD-ROM (a 6x) was too old for their cd-check code to work with. Think about it: software code that prevents use by a person who was explicitly _given_ a copy by the author! Pathetic. Dave
