It also happens to me. I pick Lacey as an opponent, and when I start the game, Chessmaster is the personality listed as playing the game. I played out one game in this scenario and Lacey is pretty easy to beat -- I got destroyed in very short order. This makes me think that it really was Chessmaster playing against me and not Lacey. The manual says to pick an opponent and then begin playing a rated game vs that opponent, so this looks like a bug to me. John Merlino will hopefully chime in to let us know what the real story is.
